Welcome. My name is Lisa Cross. As you navigate through my website, I hope that you will feel that you have learned a little bit about me, the type of therapy that I offer, and find that I will be the right person to help you. I am more than happy to talk with you prior to scheduling an appointment to answer any questions that you may have. It is essential that you find a therapist that you feel safe and comfortable with. I understand how difficult of a decision this can be for you and I hope to make you feel as comfortable and at ease as possible.
I believe that therapy is a guided path and a collaborative effort between therapist and client. That path leads the client to health, contentment, and confidence. I chose the above Taoist quote as my treatment philosophy because I feel that these are our 3 pursuits of life; to be healthy, to be content, and to be confidence.
I take a humanistic approach in my work. This veiw argues that you are free to choose your own behavior, rather than reacting to environmental stimuli and reinforcers. The major focus is to facilitate personal development. I have worked very hard to create an approach to treatment that is collaborative as well as skills based in order to help with immediate results of symptoms that you may experience. I am an advocate for clients to have a clear understanding of what their symptoms are and how to work to eleviate those symptoms.

Session Options:
I offer 60 min. sessions on a weekly basis if you are using your health insurance. (Insurance regulates therapy to be no more than 60 min. and not offered more than weekly).
I offer 60 min. sessions twice a week if you are paying out of pocket and feel your in need of a more progressive treatment approach.
I offer 90 min. sessions for family and couples/marital counseling if you are paying out of pocket.
I also offer Saturday counseling sessions.
I offer in home sessions for women who have recently had a baby and are not in a position to leave the home.
